Baseball

Braden Wehr

Varsity Baseball Coach

As an Alumnus of FRCS baseball, I could not be more excited to step in and lead this team. I know that I am picking up a program that is on the right track to being very successful and I can tell there are great things on the horizon for us.

The Lord instilled in me a passion for baseball at a very young age. I have been surrounded by the game for nearly my entire life. It is by far the sport that I enjoy the most– both watching and playing. I played nearly every season from the time I was three until my Senior year of high school. Both my Junior and Senior years, I was fortunate to be a part of a team that made a solid run into the playoffs. One of the things that I regret the most in life is not pursuing a college baseball career and I am excited to get the chance to help guys that graduate Front Range take their game to the collegiate level.

While my coaching experience is limited, I feel confident that I will be
surrounded by assistants who will hold me accountable, help me to grow as a coach, and pour into the players that are a part of our team. Together, I think we will be able to help shape these guys into young men that will be equipped to go out and change the world, but also drastically increase their skills and knowledge in the game of baseball.

Basketball (boys)

Tristan Matthies

Head Basketball Coach

I grew up in Littleton, CO, and attended Denver Christian High School where I played basketball all four years of my high school career.  While there, I won back-to-back state basketball championships. I was lucky enough to also play with my twin brother Cameron, who coaches basketball up in Greeley, CO.

After high school I attended the University of Colorado and graduated with a major in Physical Education and minor in coaching.

I started my coaching career assisting at Dakota Ridge High School for two years. Then I moved to the JV position at Denver Christian for two years and helped them win another championship. After that I turned to Front Range for the next nine years of my coaching career.

Coaching has provided so much in my life and I feel that God has helped me through my journey. I met my wife, Cara, while coaching at Denver Christian and we have an amazing daughter Kinsley. Many of you may recognize my wife as the high school math teacher.

Outside of coaching, I work with my dad as a property manager. I love to play golf and build Legos, as well as spend time with family.

Jesse Yeager

Girls Basketball Varsity Coach

I was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado, and have spend most of my life in this area. I played basketball for Denver Eagles, a Christian homeschool athletic organization through junior and senior high school. During my high school career, I discovered a passion for coaching the game of basketball, not just playing. I was given a scholarship to play basketball at Taylor University in Indiana. At the end of my senior year (2014), I suffered an injury that ended my playing career. I decided to attend Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, where I spent three years coaching a local team, winning a state championship and an out-of-state tournament championship. Once I moved back to Littleton, I coached for a few teams: Denver Eagles, Colorado Christian University, and, most recently, Valor Christian High School.

I graduate from GCU in December 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences (emphasis in Exercise Science) and a minor in Athletic Coaching. In 2020, I married an FRCS alumna, Taya Hannah, who played volleyball for the Falcons. Outside of coaching basketball, I love to spend time with my wife; camping; golfing; playing or watching other sports; and spending time with my family and friends. I am excited to see what God has in store for me at FRCS and to be able to pour into the families of FRCS.

Soccer (boys)

Dennis Wagner

Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach

Dennis joined the coaching team at FRCS July 2022. In his own words:

“Hi! I’m Coach Dennis Wagner, but everyone calls me Coach Wags. I have been a high school and club soccer and wrestling coach for over 30 years. I’ve been an active skills, technical and personal training coach for over 25 years. I have owned and operated gyms and training facilities in the past. In college I both wrestled and played soccer. I also played semi-professional soccer out of college. I have two unbelievably amazing daughters that I have had the pleasure of coaching both of them in club soccer during my career as a coach.

“I want to thank you for the opportunity to come work with and have a positive impact on the FRCS soccer program and the development of your young men on and off the field. I am also excited to help them in their long term goals in life to serve those around them in a positive manner, just like Jesus would have done.”

Soccer (girls)

Eric Osberg

Head Varsity Girls Soccer Coach

I have been married for 13 years and have 4 wonderful kids who attend Front Range Christian School. Samson is in 4th grade, Emery is in 2nd grade, Jonas is in Kindergarten, and Cecelia is 3 months old. I have been the girl’s varsity soccer coach for the last 6 years. I have over 15 years of coaching experience at multiple levels of soccer. I love working with the team and molding them into a family that wants to compete together everyday on the field. I see coaching as an extension of the classroom here at Front Range Christian, where we try to give everything we have. One of the greatest things that I get to do is teach the girls how to compete has hard as they can for one purpose and that is to serve our Lord Jesus Christ. This is a great calling and one that I do not take lightly. GO FALCONS!

Girls Soccer Varsity Head Coach Eric Osberg received a scholarship to play soccer in college and played for a little while. He then decided that coaching was more of where he wanted to focus and junior year of college started coaching club soccer in Indiana. He has been coaching soccer for the last 17 years.

Jalissa DeHaan

Volleyball

Amanda Deich

She earned Academic All-American and All-Conference honors while she was in college and was voted captain of her team for two of her four years. She has coached club volleyball and assisted in top-tier volleyball camps for well over a decade.

Amanda is also a teacher. She believes wholeheartedly in the equal development of the student and the athlete. In her own words: “Discipleship is extremely important to me. Volleyball is an amazing game, and I push my athletes in conditioning and skill-development to reach their fullest potential. But in everything we do, we focus on our identity in Christ. That’s what will lay the foundation for our performance in games, in the classroom, and in their individual and collective futures.”
